Why Women Carry a Purse

Have you ever wondered why some women carry a purse? What is that they keep in their purse? Out of genuine curiosity, Jeff Cavins has asked these questions of some of the women in his own life. He shares what he learned from them and what it says about the nature of women.

Snippet from the Show
It is the nature of a woman to give and to love and to relate to other people.

Shownotes

1 Peter 3:1-4

“Likewise, you wives, be submissive to your husbands so that some, though they do not obey the word, may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives when they see your reverent and chaste behavior. Let not yours be the outward adorning with braiding of hair, decoration of gold, and wearing of fine clothing, but let it be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable jewel of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.

Quotation from St. John Paul II’s Letter to Women

For in giving themselves to others each day women fulfill their deepest vocation. Perhaps more than men, women acknowledge the person, because they see persons with their hearts. They see them independently of various ideological or political systems. They see others in their greatness and limitations; they try to go out to them and help them. In this way the basic plan of the Creator takes flesh in the history of humanity and there is constantly revealed, in the variety of vocations, that beauty-not merely physical, but above all spiritual-which God bestowed from the very beginning on all, and in a particular way on women.
