4 Tips for When You Go on Pilgrimage
- Take time to prepare. Pray in anticipation of the pilgrimage. Pray for an openness to the graces that be made available to you on the pilgrimage
- Read and study about where you will be going on your pilgrimage. Understanding what it is you will see can help you enter more deeply into the pilgrimage.
- Take time to pray at each stop on your pilgrimage. Before you take pictures or look for a souvenir, pray. Allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you and guide you.
- Have a takeaway at the end of each stop on your pilgrimage. Reflect on what you saw and what you learned. What do you want to remember? What do you want to apply to your life? What change do you feel called to make in your life?

I just listened to your podcast on pilgrimage. I’m amazed how God works in our lives. My husband and I are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary in September and decided to go on a pilgrimage to Lourdes and Fatima and Barcelona in October. This podcast came by accident or I should say God incident because it’s 4:10 AM in the morning. I was awake and decided to search for a reflection on ascension press. I discovered this podcast after listening to another podcast from Ascension press in all things catholic. I didn’t Google this ….nope …..God brought me to this podcast and I’m so grateful. I have a different perspective of our upcoming pilgrimage!
