Back by popular demand, Jeff compiles thirteen more motivating Scriptures to help you discern the future and to help you in times of suffering and fatigue.

We often dwell on yesterday, become frozen with fear today, and can be paralyzed by tomorrow. However, it is in our weakness that God demonstrates his power and his strength. God is the ultimate motivational speaker.

We are not just Christians who struggle through life. We are sons and daughters of God who are empowered from the inside with the Holy Spirit.

The Future

Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

2 Corinthians 4:16-17 –  “So we do not lose heart. Though our outer man is wasting away, our inner man is being renewed every day. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.”

Psalm 18:2 – The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

Romans 8:28 – “We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.”

Hebrews 10:23 –  “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.”

Philippians 4:19 –  “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

Suffering

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 –  “but he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities; for when I am weak, then I am strong.”

1 Corinthians 15:58 – “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”

1 Peter 3:14 – “But even if you do suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled.”

Romans 8:38-39 – “For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Fatigue

Isaiah 40:31 – “but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

Psalm 16:8  – “I keep the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.”
