Do you ever get caught up in a sin, only to have it come back like a tyrannical ruler dictating the rest of your day, bringing you down, and not letting you move forward? Sometimes sin, especially when we fall into the same sin repeatedly, causes us to think of ourselves as “damaged goods” that we can never be the same again. In this episode, Jeff encourages you to start looking at yourself through God’s eyes. As long as there is life, there is hope. Let go of your past and walk with God into your future.
SHOWNOTES
Psalm 32:5
I acknowledged my sin to thee, and I did not hide my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD”; then thou didst forgive the guilt of my sin.
Hebrews 9:22
Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.
Matthew 6:12
And forgive us our debts, As we also have forgiven our debtors;
Matthew 18:21-35
Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven. “Therefore the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his servants. When he began the reckoning, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents; and as he could not pay, his lord ordered him to be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and payment to be made. So the servant fell on his knees, imploring him, ‘Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay you everything.’ And out of pity for him the lord of that servant released him and forgave him the debt. But that same servant, as he went out, came upon one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and seizing him by the throat he said, ‘Pay what you owe.’ So his fellow servant fell down and besought him, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you.’ He refused and went and put him in prison till he should pay the debt. When his fellow servants saw what had taken place, they were greatly distressed, and they went and reported to their lord all that had taken place. Then his lord summoned him and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you besought me; and should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?’ And in anger his lord delivered him to the jailers, till he should pay all his debt. So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart.”
Ezekiel 33:10
“And you, son of man, say to the house of Israel, Thus have you said: ‘Our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and we waste away because of them; how then can we live?’”

“It is here that the father of the family, the mother, children, and all members of the family exercise the priesthood of the baptized in a privileged way “by the reception of the sacraments, prayer and thanksgiving, the witness of a holy life, and self-denial and active charity. ” Thus the home is the first school of Christian life and “a school for human enrichment.” Here one learns endurance and the joy of work, fraternal love, generous — even repeated — forgiveness, and above all divine worship in prayer and the offering of one’s life.”

Jeff. Thank you for this most helpful instruction. I thought I might print it and pass it on. Unfortunately the paper was well tangled in my printer. Despite getting help to get it out we were unsuccessful.
I felt your talk very encouraging so I said to The Lord “if you want me to print this and pass it on, free the paper in my printer. So I picked up the printer again and in less than three minutes, I got the tangled paper out and I was able to print your lesson.
God is Great.
