I recently had the chance to sit down with two dear friends, Emily Jaminet and Michele Faehnle. These two inspiring ladies are authors of several books together. One of their most recent books is Our Friend Faustina: Life Lessons in Divine Mercy. This book is a collection of personal stories from women about ways in which they have been blessed by St. Faustina and Jesus’ message of Divine Mercy.
Michele and Emily discuss the history of St. Faustina, share some of the stories in the book, and offer ideas for ways to learn more and dive deeper into our devotion to Divine Mercy. These two moms and best friends are such an inspiration and encouragement to me. I just know you will love hearing from them too! Visit their website, Inspire the Faith, to learn more about these talented women and their work.
Snippet From the Show
“Being Catholic is not about how beautiful our Catholic resume looks like, or what we do for the church, or how perfect we are. It’s about being who you are, and going before the Lord and letting him transform you.”
I have received so much feedback from all of you about my newest book and the first chapter that I shared with you at the end of episode 210. Giving Thanks and Letting Go: Reflections on the Gift of Motherhood is a book in which I share from my heart about the very real changes, challenges, triumphs, and joys of being a mom in an “emptying nest.” You can read that sample chapter at Ave Maria Press. Please join me on Thursdays at 1:00 pm ET for a book club based on themes in the book. See you over at Facebook!
