Listener Jill reached out this week with a question about what it means to “have a personal relationship with Jesus.” This is a topic that feels foreign to Catholics sometimes, and it’s okay if you would rather not use that kind of terminology, but don’t let any of that “foreign” feeling get in the way of the personal, close connection you are meant to have with Jesus Christ.
I share some thoughts in this episode, mostly based on one section of my You’re Worth It! Retreat for women.
- Jesus wants a real relationship with you.
- Jesus meets you where you are.
- Jesus connects through your shared humanity.
I also share some thoughts from the beautiful passage of the “sleeping girl” in Mark 5. In what ways might you be “asleep” in your relationship with Jesus? Let’s think about that and pray about that this week.
