In this episode, Mike Gormley and Dave VanVickle offer practical guidance on two of the most powerful spiritual weapons: prayer and fasting. They explain how you can fast from almost anything, offering it up to the Lord for any intention. They also explain how to pray in a way that focuses on your relationship with God. Finally, they finish off the episode with a 7-day challenge for you to obtain spiritual benefits.

Shownotes
“
Our 2 Most Powerful Weapons:
- Fasting
- Fasting is one of the most powerful weapons in spiritual warfare. Jesus tells the disciples in Mark 9:29, “This kind [of demon] cannot be driven out by anything but prayer and fasting.”
- You can give up or fast from anything, such as waking up early and fasting for 7 days.
- Small, simple fasts done with great love are some of the most powerful weapons.
- Prayer
- Personal prayer is not a liturgy. There are prayers that the Church recommends, but the most important element in personal prayer is our act of faith.
- Any prayer said with faith is powerful in our spiritual struggles.
- Prayer is a conversation of the God of the universe, not a good luck charm or talisman.
- Persistent prayer is a powerful weapon in spiritual warfare.
- Advancing in your prayer life beyond devotional prayer into meditation is a major tool against the devil.
