Do we trust God in every moment, for every need, all the time? He listens to even the simplest desires of our hearts.

One of my biggest problems with asking for God’s help, is that I put conditions on my request. I never thought I sounded like a child saying “I promise to feed the dog, if you let me have one!” And just as you said a week or so later, the promise was conveniently forgotten.
With the Holy Spirit’s assistance, I know I will be more cognizant of any requests that I send to the Lord. I just need to remember that His timetable and mine are completely different. Thank you, Jeff for bringing something as simple as a request to the Lord can be in need of repair!

In my case, I don’t recall asking God for a perfect dog. However, perhaps since I don’t have children of my own, I know that God brought me to the dog that I adopted from the local animal shelter. He has been the perfect companion for me, my “baby”. He will be 17 years old in a couple of weeks and I have had him for all but the first 5 months of his life. I frequently thank God for bringing me this precious gift. I think this is an example of God knowing your needs even before you do and providing for you. So I don’t take this for granted and I give praise and thanksgiving to the One who provided.
