Can the Problem of Evil Be Solved?

As Christians, we often face people who question our religion—even God’s existence in general. One of the most common arguments is “how can an all-loving God allow such hate, evil, and crime in the world?” It’s a good question.

Today, Fr. Mark-Mary and Fr. Gregory Pine tackle the “problem of evil” and how God remains good in spite of the suffering of this world.

Meet Fr. Mark-Mary

Father Mark-Mary was ordained as a Franciscan Friar of the Renewal (CFR) in 2018 and lives at a friary in the Bronx.

The mission of the CFRs is to wholeheartedly embrace Jesus through fidelity to the Church and her Sacraments. Paired with their commitment to prayer, contemplation, and study of Sacred Scripture, the CFRs serve those around them, especially the poor, in the footsteps of Christ.
