Thomas Smith of The Great Adventure Bible Timeline team shares how joy and beauty drew him to the Church. After being a Mormon and then a Baptist, Smith converted to Catholicism after seeing how different it was from what he had been taught. In the Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City, where this video is filmed, he started to understand the significance and beauty of the tabernacle and the peace felt by just being in the presence of Christ. Smith also shares the story of others who felt this peace inside a Catholic church while not knowing exactly where the peace came from. Sharing the beauty of the Virgin Mary’s love for her children, Smith also encourages a Marian style of evangelization that freely and joyfully gives Christ to others.
