Making Your Life Count

Paul J. Kim gives some key pointers on making your life count in the long run (eternity). He reminds us of the Last Judgment and how high the stakes are. The stakes are no less than eternal life, and eternal life with God does not depend on how many social media followers you have, what kind of car you drive, how much money you make, and so on (see Matthew 25:31-46).

Consider this your courtesy call: How have you been loving God and the people around you? Can we love God and our neighbor more? After all, these are the greatest commandments:

“‘Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?’ And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets.’”

Matthew 22:36-40

When Jesus comes back, he is going to pull the “greatest prank of all time”, when he tells us he was mystically connected to every person we ever encountered. Some of us will think it’s funny and others won’t. Which will you be?
