If it feels like God isn’t answering your prayers, that can be disheartening. But it can also be devastating.
Today, Fr. Mike offers the good word that your God is your loving Father who wants to give you good things. But he also offers the reminder that God is not a genie over which we have control.
Meet Fr. Mike Schmitz

I believe that God does answer every prayer, it’s just that sometimes the answer is no. Maybe because God has a better solution. In my case, I am in constant pain and have asked God to help me with it. He hasn’t so far; it only gets worse. Maybe God is trying to teach me something. I know that my pain is nothing compared to what Jesus endured for me.
As a side note, whoever said that old age was the golden years needs their head examined.
My 92 yr old Mom and I really enjoy your Mass every Sunday. I’ve been taking care of my Mom and had to leave my daughter and Grandson in NY . My daughter is going through a difficult time and I want to be able to help everyone. My daughter has since blocked me and I’m heartbroken and concerned for her well being. There are days where it is difficult to go on ,but your words and faith Father Mike have helped me see my faith in a different light. God bless you and your family. 🙏📿
